Join Us! for the National Foster Parent Association (NFPA) 53rd Education Conference, June 21-23, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia. NFPA’s conference is one of the largest gatherings of foster, kinship, and adoptive parents, and child welfare professionals from around the country.

Our Theme for this year’s conference is “Many Stories. One Voice”, with a focus on how we can all contribute through our lived experiences. It is with the generosity of so many talented presenters from across the country that we can offer such a rich agenda filled with informative and engaging workshops. Presenters are currently being confirmed.

And, you won’t want to miss our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Chan Hellman who is going to introduce us to the real truth about Hope, especially for those who have experienced trauma.

Keynote Speaker Chan Hellman

Chan is a professor in the Anne & Henry Zarrow School of Social Work and Founding Director of The Hope Research Center at the University of Oklahoma.

He has written more than 150 scientific publications on the science of hope. He is one of the leading hope researchers in the country today and resides in Tulsa, OK.

These rates are valid through 5/30/2024.

  • Single/Double Occupancy – $145.00
  • Triple Occupancy* – $170.00
  • Quadruple Occupancy* – $195.00

*Children under the age of 17 will not be charged for additional occupancy.

Helen D. Stone Conference Scholarships

This program was established in honor of Helen Stone, co-founder of the National Foster Parent Association.

Its purpose is to encourage participation from those members who need assistance with travel and expenses in order to attend NFPA’s Education Conference.

Eligibility Requirements 

 

  • Must be an NFPA member (applicants can join at the time of registration for the conference).
  • Must live outside a 300 mile radius from the convention venue.
  • Must pre-register and pay for registration for the conference by 5/30/2024.
  • Must participate in the conference and be present to win.
  • Must not have received a conference scholarship within the past year.

Exhibitors

We offer exhibit tables during the sessions, June 21 and 22.

Once registered you will receive a packet of information.

  • $550.00 Non-Profit Exhibitors
  • $650.00 For-Profit Exhibitors

(Each table receives two t-shirts and two Conference/Gala tickets.)
